From website May 2017 The Council of European Dentists (CED) 1  aims to promote high standards on oral healthcare and dentistry with effective patient-safety centred professional practice, and to contribute to safeguarding the protection of public health. In the last decades, we have witnessed an immense progress in the prevention of caries in children, but damaged, missing or filled teeth are still the norm in Europe.
