ITDD 2018 will outline the risks, rewards and routes for innovation and translation of dental devices. The Congress will showcase innovative devices and technologies that impact dentistry and will provide delegates with a unique opportunity to develop a network for interconnectivity and collaboration.
The Congress will welcome professionals involved with dental devices and technologies for industry translation including dental professionals, researchers, biomedical engineers, laboratory personnel, entrepreneurs, disruptors, industry Reps, regulators, compliance Officers, consultants, investors and legal professionals.

Les Kalman
Les Kalman is an assistant
professor and Chair of the Dental Outreach Community Service (DOCS) program at
Western University. Kalman’s research focuses on medical devices & technologies
relevant to clinical dentistry, with the intent of short-term industry
translation. He is the founder and President of Research Driven, a corporation
that manages medical device intellectual property. Kalman has authored
numerous articles in Canadian and International journals, patented two
technologies and has translated two devices to industry. He is a member
of the AO, AAID and the ICOI. He has been recognized as an Academic
Associate Fellow (AAID), Fellow, Master and Diplomate (ICOI) and recently
received the Schulich Alumni of Distinction Award. In his spare time,
Kalman enjoys time with his family and photography.
